DIGHI PORT (District Raigadh)

Dighi Port Limited (DPL) is engaged in the development, operations,
management, administration, financing and marketing of DIGHI
PORT. DPL is setting up an all weather deep draft direct berthing port

at Dighi (Southern shore) and Agardanda (Northern Shore) of Rajpuri
Creek,Murud Janjira ,District Raigadh, State of Maharashtra,
at a distance of 175 Kms by road from Mumbai, the
capital of the State of Maharashtra and the commercial capital of the
Republic of India, by way of development of berths and handling on the same bulk,
Break bulk, liquid, LPG/LNG and container cargo, as also, DPL has already
started operations form the existing berth at DIGHI PORT. DPL
would also provide all supportive infrastructure, utilities and
communications facilities, connectivity and stack yards, warehouses,
cargo handling equipments, administration/operations office
building/s, pilotage and navigation facilities etc.
Dighi Port has certain distinct locational and strategic advantages
because it is situated on the main international shipping channel, as
also, potential coastal shipping channel.
Dighi Port At present adequate land of 1000+ acres to take care of Phase- I
requirements is available in the immediate vicinity. Over and above
the same further 1000+ acres or more of land can be made available in
the vicinity for future phases and expansion, as also, establishing port
based industries inclusive of mega power plants and port based Free
Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ).
Dighi Port is connected by National Highway (NH-17) situated at
distance of 45 Kms from the port, as also, connected by State Highways
SH 90, SH97 and SH98. Alternate routes, which would substantially
cut down the distance and travel time are also under active
implementation. An extension by way of a four-lane road (up gradable
to six-lane road) is also under active implementation along with the
State Government of Maharashtra. Also at a distance of 45 Kms rail
connectivity is available with the already operational Konkan Railway
broad gauge line of which, an extension to the Dighi Port is already
approved and the process of its implementation is initiated.
